COACHING 42

When the world is not enough.

Julia Rogers, CPC; MA

About

What would it feel like to live life to its full promise?

As a professional woman and a mother, I passionately believe that we can have it all, that we can do what we want, keep our identity and still be a great parent.   We can have a job that we love and reach our potential in, whilst also having a fulfilling family life.

How would coaching help?

The coaching process is unique to each individual; every person is at a different point in their lives and is looking for different things.  I work with you where you are right now, to find out what really matters to you, to look at what is holding you back, to discover the best way for you to find what you want, and to get there and beyond.  Together we collaborate so that you can find the answers within yourself, and you can create your own best possible life.

Coaching is about the relationship we create, and from me you can expect honesty, commitment, understanding, professionalism and fun!

What gives me the ability to help?

I am a professional coach with a background in social care and management.  The part of my work that has always inspired me is enabling people to be the very best and happiest version of themselves that they can be.  I have had a career, stayed at home with my children and then decided that I wanted more for my family and myself.  My coaching business is a reflection of my belief that when we feel that the world we are currently living in is not enough, then it is time to explore, plan and stretch for what we want.

I am a member of the International Coaching Federation and I abide by their Core Competencies (including ethical guidelines and professional standards).

I call my company Coaching42 for several reasons, one of which being that the “Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything” (in Douglas Adams’ The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) is 42. Coaching enables us to unlock our answers to our own ultimate questions.

Programmes

There are many different reasons for people to come to coaching. What brings you to coaching is unique to you.  It may align with the situations below, or it may be that you feel that something is missing in your life and you would like support to find what that is.  Coaching can help you identify what you feel is lacking, build your confidence and self esteem and create a plan for the future. Some of the main issues that clients want to tackle are:

Reinvention

What would it feel like to be the person that you really want to be?

We constantly grow and evolve as people, circumstances change and we adapt ourselves to these.  It can be difficult to try and hold on to your identity during these times and you may discover that you desire new things.  Things that once seemed vital and exciting to you may no longer hold the same appeal.  You may want to express your true self in a way that is more meaningful to you and explore your different sides.  This is the time for looking at who you really are, discovering what you want and putting a plan together to realise your true potential for happiness and success.

Battling the Odds

What would it be like to succeed?

We all have challenges in life, sometimes we think that we can never make it, but we can.  There are times when life shakes us to the core and makes us work harder than we ever thought possible.  It may seem that you are up against impossible situations.  This is the time to explore all the amazing strengths within you, champion your abilities and harness them to work for you to find the best possible place you can be. Sometimes we accept mediocrity, as we fear being successful. I truly believe that everyone has dreams which can be achieved. Together we can discover the power, knowledge, ability and confidence within you to make your dreams a reality.

Juggling

What would it feel like to get the balance right?

It can feel like there are a huge number of demands on our time and us.  There are so many jobs to do; so many people that we are responsible to, and for, that it can be overwhelming.  It is easy to get lost in the swirls of everyday life. One of the key aspects of our work together is to ensure we concentrate on those things that really matter to you and not allow anything else to get in the way. We will collaborate to unlock your confidence to have more in your life of what you want, building a plan for success, achievement and happiness.

Practicalities

Our initial session is complimentary.  This is for you to explore more about coaching, what it can do for you and to see if we would work well together.  During this session we would discuss how often you would like to meet, either in person, via Skype or on the phone. Sessions are generally scheduled weekly or fortnightly, whichever you feel works best in your life.

Julia is very insightful and a wonderful listener. She is capable of asking just the right questions and then hears and translates what I am unconsciously not saying into actionable discussions. She helps me to look at problems in a different way and then find solutions that fit my needs, so I can meet my personal and professional objectives. Because of her diversified and wide experience, she is able to provide very useful and timely examples.
